This newsletter is a teaser to the new season which will be delivered to your inbox on Tuesday, April 4!
In the coming issues, you'll read, listen to and watch stories about Amalfi lemons, baking babka in Rome, tasting days in London and tastings from English vineyards, and much more.
There will be regular dips into the world of travel with ideas and inspiration of spending time in places and cities such as Amalfi and Sorrento, Genoa and Liguria, Seville and Valencia, and other places where you'll find citrus growing and being used, such as southern California, Texas, Florida, Indonesia, Turkey and Greece. Places to eat and places to visit will be described and uncovered. You'll also find more recipes and cooking tips as I seek to encourage you to get creative with the incredible range of brightly coloured citrus fruits that brighten all lives.
We are also recording a series of podcasts which will be released shortly under the banner 'The Life Lemons Give You'. Covering food, travel, culture, and people, this newsletter aims to inspire you in the kitchen when you're out looking for fun and inspiration in the places you visit and yearn to see. A parallel set of podcasts and videos will play out on this Substack newsletter and feature people from across the food and drink world, including wine-makers, bakers, chefs, and writers who will share their stories to inform and inspire you with an open eye and mind.
Let me know where you're travelling, and share your lemon and orangey eating experiences. And please tag me in your citrus photos, whether it's a new recipe, a restaurant meal or if, say, you spot a Mayer lemon tree hiding in plain sight.
Some content, including selected recipes, travel guides, podcasts and video stories, will soon be available to paid subscribers only. More about that soon.
Many thanks for subscribing, and we'll be back next week,
